Well, this has been quite a string of quarters. Here are the last six quarter scores:
The Suns slide into the first column on every single one of those quarters. Over the last six quarters, that is to say, the Suns are leading the Blazers 185-127. I think those are the kinds of performances the Suns ought to be submitting against a team like the Blazers who have suffered so many injuries that whatever depth they had is just gone.
The Suns are crushing the Blazers. The Suns dropped off some in the second quarter, and are now shooting only 56.8% (including 7-of-14 from 3). The Blazers have improved their percentage to 35.9% (including an unfortunate 1-of-8 from 3). The Blazers caught up in FTAs, and that stat stands at 15-14 PHX.
Really, again, the Suns are imposing their will on the Blazers. I watched it happen all Game 2, and I still didn’t expect it to happen quite like this in Game 3. Again, it’s far from over…but we’re seeing some awfully good things from these Suns so far.
