Make that 4 in a row ladies and gentleman! The Phoenix Suns(11-15) won their 4th straight game by beating down on the struggling Charlotte Bobcats(7-18) 121-104 on Wednesday night at the U.S Airways center in downtown Phoenix.

The Suns had 6 different players score in double figures and 3 of those players scored more 20 or more points. The Suns were led by Shannon Brown who scored a season high 26 points, 18 of those coming in the 3rd quarter.

“If we run our offense, it ain’t like I’m doing one-on-one moves and stuff like that,” said Brown, who shook off a 2-for-5 start to finish 10 of 16 with five 3-pointers in 34 minutes. “I just want to continue that rhythm and take good shots.”

The Bobcats played a competitive 1st quarter trailing the Suns 27-28 after one but they found themselves trailing by 18 heading into the 2nd half and trailed by as much as 30 late in the 3rd quarter. However the Bobcats loss wasn’t because of their two stars Kemba Walker and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist. Walker and Gilchrist combined to score 52 points on 18 of 28 shooting, 16 rebounds, 10 assists, and 4 steals.

This night without a doubt belonged to the Suns of Phoenix. The Suns made a season high 17 3-pointers and the Suns also scored a season high 121 points. Goran Dragic also recorded his second double-double of the season, and his first in the last 24 games.

“I thought we shot it well because we had good ball movement,” said Suns coach Alvin Gentry. “We were taking it from the strong side to the weak side and we had their bigs in rotation so we were able to get some 3s with our feet set.”

By winning their last 4 games the Suns are that much closer to becoming relevant again but not as close as one would imagine. The Suns are still sitting in the 13th spot in the western conference but they are only 2.5 games out of the 8th spot. The Suns will have the next couple of days off before having to go to Portland to take on the Trail Blazers.
