The Boston Celtics are looking to break down things to build them back up again. Next season isn’t really going to be a measuring stick for the Celtics going forward. Rather, they’ll look to see who they’ll keep around for next season and see what moves they should make going forward.

The Celtics are going to need to find a star player who they can stick next to Rajon Rondo. They will look to develop the talent of Kelly Olynyk and see what improvement second year players in Jared Sullinger and Fab Melo make. They’ll also see what they traded for in Marshon Brooks.

More importantly, the Celtics will look to use these assets to find that player that they feel comfortable building around. Hopefully, with their assets in hand, they’ll be able to do so sooner rather than later.
