The Phoenix Suns have closed out their preseason home games with a 88-76 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Thunder were without stars Kevin Durant, who sat out, and Russell Westbrook, who is recovering from a knee injury. Goran Dragic also sat out of the game, nursing a sprained ankle. The Suns maintained control for most of the ball game, never allowing OKC to take the lead.

Suns guard Eric Bledsoe had an excellent night, contributing 15 points, six rebounds, and seven assists in almost 30 minutes of play. Gerald Green also added 15 points, including a couple of fantastic dunks. P.J. Tucker added 13 points, and Channing Frye had 12. Rookie Archie Goodwin put up 11 points, but on 4-11 shooting. Markieff Morris, who started at the power forward spot, ended the game with no points on 0-5 shooting.

Despite the fact that the Suns were out their starting guard, Kendall Marshall did not play. At this rate, it is unlikely that he will have a major role in the Suns rotation. At this point, it seems like many roster choices have been made, as many of the guards in the crowded rotation are getting less time on the floor

As a team, the Suns shot 38% from the floor, 23% from deep, and 62.5% from the line. The Suns got away with poor offensive execution here, but will need to step up in order to beat teams once the teams play to their full capacity. The return of Goran Dragic should help get the offense back in motion. The Suns will return to U.S. Airways Center to take on the Trail Blazers in their regular season opener.
