The Suns ended their preseason schedule with a 98-79 victory over the Denver Nuggets. The Suns have finished with a solid record of 4-2 against NBA opponents, and have seen excellent individual performances in each game. While the Suns were trailing Denver for much of the game, they outscored the Nuggets 38-14 in the final quarter, giving them a victory.
Eric Bledsoe and Gerald Green continued on hot streaks that began Tuesday night against OKC. Bledsoe put up a fantastic 21 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists. Green made a strong case for himself as the Suns starting small forward, finishing with 19 points and shooting 7-9 from the filed, including 3-3 from deep. Goran Dragic returned to action tonight, finishing with six points and eight dimes.
Other notable players include Markieff Morris, who finished with 12 points and 10 rebounds. The Suns had a great night in the rebounding department overall. Marcin Gortat pulled 13 boards, and Miles Plumlee grabbed 10 more.
As a whole, the Suns shot 46.5% from the floor, and 30% from three. The three point shooting has been something that has challenged the Suns in several games. Other than that, the Suns might have surprised some people with their performance in the preseason. They have played good basketball throughout most of their games, and many players have made good cases for roles in the rotation.
The Suns tip off for real of the 30th of October, where they open against the Portland Trail Blazers.
