The Suns hosted the Bulls on Tuesday night,  looking for a season-best sixth consecutive win. Unfortunately, poor execution and too many turnovers cost the Suns, as they fell 101-92.

It was a rough night for the Suns, who shot 30% in the first half and went into the second down 44-33. The Suns however nipped at Chicago’s heels throughout the game. Their resilience nearly paid off, as they were down only four with about two minutes left. The Bulls defense rallied, while the Suns; did not, and the Bulls escaped with the win.

With this win, Chicago sweeps the season series with the Suns. Their rugged defense and tough interior play have proven to be the Suns kryptonite. Oddly, the Suns outrebounded the Bulls 47-44 and put up their patented 17 fast break points. Other than that, it was an abnormal night. The Suns seemed tired and slow, and shot 8-28 from behind the arc. It was a far cry from the explosive, energetic Suns that people have come to expect.

Goran Dragic went into halftime shooting 1-5 and having five points. He ended the game with 24 point and seven rebounds on 9-15 shooting. It is really another sign of his improvement that he can make a respectable game out of only one half. His backcourt partner, Gerald Green, was not so impressive, putting up five points on 2-13 shooting. He was however the team assist leader with five. The Suns as a whole only had twelve. For a team that has great chemistry and little attitude, the Suns dead last place in assists as a team is puzzling. Channing Frye added 18 points and eight boards, though he shot 2-11 from behind the arc, Yikes.

The Suns hold on the 6th seed has been narrowed as they drop to 29-19 on the season. This was a needed win, as the next few games for the SUns will be a challenge, starting tomorrow when they go to Houston to take on the Rockets.
