The Suns are on a pretty big roll of late, and they will be meeting a team they have already won their season series against this season. The problem? The Memphis Grizzlies have been on quite a roll themselves of late, and as Tom Leander reported, have called this week “Revenge Week” — a week where they face teams they haven’t defeated yet, ready to defeat them. And these are not just empty words — They have beaten the Heat, Thunder and Mavericks in the previous week, as a weapon they didn’t have in the last two meetings is now back with them. Playoff hero Zach Randolph has returned to their squad, and has been doing major damage off the bench, recreating a beastly front line with Marc Gasol.

The Suns won the last two games thanks to great effort and a stroke of Robin Lopez related luck, this must be remembered. The Suns might catch another break, however, thanks to the probable absence of Tony Allen, who is dealing with facial lacerations. Allen, of course is the Grizz’s best man-to-man defender, and has been causing serious irritation to opponent wings. This might be a big advantage with the majority of the Suns scoring of late coming from Shannon Brown and Michael Redd. The Suns will still have to deal with Rudy Gay on the opposing wing, which, without Grant Hill there to defend him (by the way, Grant is set to come back Friday. The Warlocks are amazing), might cause a lot of trouble.

The Suns are undersized, and perhaps undermanned in this battle, but it’s a battle that they can afford to lose. Which doesn’t mean they should.

Playoff Picture:
All quiet on the Western Front. By that, I mean, nobody lost.

Ah, the Suns. So wonderfully hilarious. Just when you’re ready to give up on them, they pick themselves up, slap you in the face and say “SEE, WE CAN WIN SOMETIMES, IT’S NOT A TANK JOB YET!”
So, here we go, the game grades for the Valley thriller
Steve Nash: A+
Steve wasn’t normal Steve tonight, as he didn’t dish a lot. But he did shoot a lot, and make. The only knock on him was delivered by Marc Gasol on his thigh, making him questionable against Dallas.
Jared Dudley: A
Rarely do you see anyone but Marcin Gortat in the second spot of the game grades, but Saturday Night, lo and behold, someone stepped up. Not only has Jared been a pest on D, but he also took over on O, and made some clutch free throws. And for those who say it’s easy, just ask Sunday night-missers Derrick Rose and LeBron James how easy it really is.
Marcin Gortat: B+
Marcin may have missed some shots. Actually, nearly two thirds of them, but he also managed to contain Marc Gasol when he was on the floor and grabbed a ton of rebounds on both sides. He’s really looking for that elusive 20 board game.
Grant Hill: B+
Grant seems to be out of his senile slump which gives us all good reason to cheer. Another reason to cheer was a made three pointer (a week ago he only had one on the season) and a big block on Rudy Gay. Keep it up, old man!
Markieff Morris: C+
Except for a quick stint of hustle goodness, Morris has been mediocre. Hopefully he can pick it up sooner than later. Still, 10 points, 9 rebounds isn’t a bad line to have.
Josh Childress: C
Josh may not have made an impact on the box score, but believe me, he made an impact on the floor. He played good D, hustled and provided some much needed energy to the Suns.
Hakim Warrick: C
Warrick scored 8 pretty important points and played in the clutch. His defence though… MY EYES
Ronnie Price: C-
In short, Ronnie did, what Ronnie does. Defended and hit a tech.
Sebastian Telfair: D
0-4 with one assist and one steal. Two turnovers too, and not much effort. Still better than Shannon Brown, though.
Michael Redd: D-
He hit 2 free throws. That’s about it. Ugh.
Channing Frye: F
Is there a way to get rid of him, like, right now?

Alvin Gentry: A+
The A+ goes in for benching Robin and Shannon. Finally someone listened to me.
