The Suns should’ve won with the Nuggets. That is all. Meanwhile, they let Andre Miller murder them. Granted, they were coming into a hostile arena, higher altitude on a two game roadie, but it doesn’t excuse blowing leads and going empty in the final two minutes.

Tonight, the Lakers, having acquired point guard Ramon Sessions come into town hoping to do some damage to the Suns. Both teams are on “traveling” back-to-backs, and the only Suns advantage, except for Steve Nash that is, comes with the home court.

Yes, these Lakers have been quite bad this season at home, and the Suns capitalized on this in their last meeting at the US Airways Center. But with Grant Hill, the resident Kobe stopper out for this one, one must wonder whether the Suns have a shot. And to have a shot, they’ll need their offence to come out guns blazing tonight.

The Suns lost a must-win in Denver yesterday… Today, they have to win a may-lose. That’s how the NBA works.

The Suns won against the Lakers. I pinched myself, it’s all true. I don’t know how it happened, but it happened. Who performed, who did so less and why Channing Frye is the worst? Here we go!

Marcin Gortat: A+
Marcin scored 21 points on the Lakers for the second game in a row. He also played a murderous 41 minutes, hurt his shoulder, fought through it and grabbed 15 boards effectively outplaying Andrew Bynum. He may not have been picked for the All-Star game, but he certainly deserves consideration should Bynum or Gasol drop out.

Jared Dudley: A+
The Junkyard Dog got busy. He shocked the Lakers with 25 points, and was really the spark the Suns needed to get this win. Nothing else left to do than applaud him.

Steve Nash: A
Steve didn’t shoot the ball well, but he did drop 14 dimes on the Lakers. That’s just good enough.

Grant Hill: A
Not only did Grant play absolutely terrific defence on Kobe (who got his points either way. But these weren’t easy looks), but he also scored 15 points on the other end. When Hill’s healthy, he’s always a joy to watch.

Channing Frye: B
He was solid, but his effort on the boards and on D was often lackadaisical. Classic Channing, taking it easy when he shouldn’t.

Markieff Morris: B
Morris was struggling with his shot, going 2-11 from the floor. He also did everything possible to stop the Lakers on the other end, and got to the line pretty often. That’s just fine, ‘kieff.

The Rest: F
The Suns are lucky the Lakers bench came back to their old selves this time out. Terrible showing, going 3/11 from the field. That’s just… Horrible.
